MONITORING AND EVALUATION SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT

Description

In most cases an M&E system refers to all the indicators, tools and processes that you will use to measure if a program has been implemented according to the plan (monitoring) and is having the desired result (evaluation). An M&E system is often described in a document called an M&E plan.

The use of a Monitoring and Evaluation system in a project or program is a significant undertaking that generally requires both organizational changes and employee readiness for the transition. To establish clarity of purpose for the M&E system, create a clear roadmap, and communicate the vision, key stakeholders have to be trained on broad-based and systematic approaches to M&E, and indeed the drivers that are generating the demand for evaluation.

Course Objectives:
? Master the process of setting up a Results – Based Monitoring and Evaluation system for projects and programs. ? Identify information needs and data collection methods. ? Design performance management systems to meet the stakeholders’ needs for information and status. ? Develop frameworks and plans using MS Project and produce monitoring reports for all project components.

Corporate Executives, M&E staff from both public and private entities, program/ project managers and officers, compliance officers, Government officials, policy makers, accounting project staff, and other interested professionals.
